What I’m Reading – August 25, 2016

2016 has been a fantastic year for books thus far. For every book I’ve bought, there are three more in my wish list, awaiting purchase. With that being said, here’s what I’ve read recently:

The Last One by Alexandra Oliva – A gripping character-driven story about one woman’s refusal to give up, even when everything’s falling apart around her.

All the Missing Girls by Megan Miranda – Twisty and surprising with a narrative structure I adored.

I Let You Go by Clare Mackintosh – Heartbreaking and lovely with a twist I definitely didn’t see coming.

The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware – Very reminiscent of Agatha Christie with plenty of clues, red herrings, and suspects along the way.

Good Morning, Midnight by Lily Brooks-Dalton – A quiet, thoughtful exploration of isolation and loneliness.

You Will Know Me by Megan Abbott – A tense, beautifully written read with a sense of menace on every page.

The American Girl by Kate Horsley – An intriguing story that will keep you guessing.

The Girl Before by Rena Olsen – A disturbing look at the emotional damage of human trafficking.

Baby Doll by Hollie Overton – A thriller about what happens when an abducted child returns home eight years later.

Up next is Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead, which I’ve heard nothing but good things about and am looking very forward to reading.
